This desktop move/add/change policy is put in place for users to request to change their desktop computing environments. This policy applies configuration changes within a company. The goal of this policy is to mitigate the risk associated with unauthorized changes, to minimize disruption to the business, IT department, and end users, and to maintain consistent expectations.

Risks Addressed by Policy:

  • Without this policy, companies are at higher risk for inappropriate usage and unauthorized changes.
