Despite wireless carrier claims, cellular services are far from enterprise quality – especially when it comes to time sensitive data applications. For some reason, small enterprises overlook many of the same performance items that are essential for their terrestrial data communication needs.
This research note addresses several key areas that cellular providers prefer not to discuss:
- The absence of enforceable service level agreements (SLAs).
- Lack of visibility into cellular network management systems.
- Unpredictable backhaul congestion problems.
