Assess application functional and technical quality of each BI tool in the current state using the following steps:
Step 1: Assess the functional and technical quality of BI tools by entering a score of 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent) for each question for every BI tool.
Step 2: Plot BI tools on a matrix based on their strategic importance and application quality.
Step 3: Use the report to help facilitate a decision in keeping the current set of BI tools. Consider the following:
- Keeping BI tools in the upper-right quadrant.
- Improving or replacing BI tools in the upper-left quadrant with new BI tools.
- Retiring BI tools in the bottom-left and right quadrants.
