(February) Prohibiting the use of personal devices for work seems reasonable in theory. After all, allowing users to access the network and data with their devices from home would represent yet another security risk for the IT department to worry about. However, the problem is that it is virtually impossible to enforce any kind of policy intended to stop workers from using their own devices. Users will continue to rely on their personal laptops, cell phones, and tablets for work even when they are aware they are violating policy when doing so.
