This template includes the following sections:

  • Establish why your organization needs a roadmap; highlight its value, whether it is compliance or whether you need to start spending more wisely.
  • State the short-term goals and how they have business value. Tie the goals of the roadmap back to the business to make it easier for stakeholders to understand their importance and to achieve stakeholder support for those endeavors.
  • Determine what has already been done. After you determine your roadmap goals, go to your tech team and establish what can be done with little to no costs or efforts, such as optimizing firewall configurations to increase protection.
