Most organizations are well aware of the dangers of outside threats and how important it is to protect your network and data. But some of those same companies don’t put as much emphasis on insider threats, even as hackers are finding new ways to infiltrate businesses using employee credentials and other internal loopholes. To prevent insider attacks, you need to implement the perfect combination of policy, education, and in-depth security tools.

An insider threat isn’t necessarily a clear concept for most organizations. Insider threats not only come from disgruntled employees with personal vendettas, butthey can also come from simple human error and everyday accidents.
