The main benefits of maintaining a mobile workforce are well known, and topping the list might be a reduction in ixed costs. If you turn 30% of your workforce loose to work in the field or from home, then that means 30% fewer desks, phones, reams of copier paper, doughnuts, and office real estate space.


On the other hand, mobile workforces may force IT to open a whole new branch dedicated to mobile worker support. Sure, workers are spared the notoriously inefficient
