A recent Info-Tech survey highlights the importance of selecting the right Value Added Reseller (VAR) and integrator. There is a significant correlation between satisfaction with the VAR or integrator and the overall success of the LAN refresh project. Almost 98% of respondents that were pleased with their VAR or integrator were also satisfied with the overall LAN implementation, compared to only 62% who were dissatisfied with the VAR or integrator.
The key considerations when selecting a VAR or integrator include:
- Implementation experience and ability.
- Existing business relationship.
- Knowledge of the existing LAN infrastructure.
- Support capabilities.
The above criteria are the most significant to consider when selecting a VAR or integrator to assist in the design, selection, and implementation of the LAN infrastructure.
