A comprehensive virtual desktop solution requires a number of parts: machine virtualization at the server, a connection broker, an access protocol, and client software. By the end of the 2009 Microsoft will have a suite with all these parts. However, it will continue to work with partner Citrix which has the XenDesktop VDI solution.
