Comprehensive software reviews to make better IT decisions

Zoho Sign Boosts Integration to Compete With DocuSign

Zoho’s software strategy is to offer customers the proverbial “one throat to choke” for all of their software challenges. With over 45 products now available ranging from customer relationship management (CRM) software to a human resources management system (HRMS) to productivity software, its strategy is to offer a solution that’s just as integrated as Microsoft Office 365 but at a lower price. It targets businesses of every size, from sole proprietor to large enterprise.

Zoho Sign is an important part of that integration puzzle. It allows businesses to support legally binding documents in their workflows. Sign’s integration now reaches more than a dozen Zoho apps, including:

  • Zoho CRM
  • Zoho HRMS
  • Zoho Mail
  • Zoho Writer
  • Zoho Books, Zoho Invoice, and Zoho Inventory
  • Zoho Forms
  • Zoho Flow
  • Orchestly
  • Zoho Creator

Sign also offers integration with other third-party apps and a REST API library for custom integrations.

Our Take

Zoho Sign’s deep integration into the Zoho software family offers customers an alternative to the DocuSign integration with Microsoft Office 365. DocuSign and Microsoft have a long-standing partnership on e-signature integration into Office that works well for Microsoft shops. Zoho’s strategy of offering every aspect of business software under one billing relationship is one compelling reason to consider it. Another reason is that it undercuts Microsoft on price at every tier. Zoho Sign continues that pricing strategy when stacked up against DocuSign. Let’s compare the tiers and significant capabilities:

  • Single-user tier: Five documents per month and access to mobile apps.
    Zoho: free.
    DocuSign: US$13 per month.
  • Standard tier: Zoho limits at 25 documents per user per month. DocuSign limits at three users with no document limit.
Zoho: $10 per user per month.
DocuSign: $33 per user per month.
  • Professional or Business Pro: Unlimited documents, audit capability, and templates with white-labelling capability.
Zoho: $15 per user per month.
DocuSign: $53 per user per month.
