Among its many acquisitions over the years, Juniper purchased market leader Peribit Networks in 2005, expanding its existing foothold in the WAN optimization market. There is a general feeling that Juniper has since failed to fully leverage this acquisition; however, Juniper Networks is still a trusted name in the networking industry.
