Fire protection is a very important part of data center planning and design. It must protect both personnel and contents within the data center. However, when discharged, many fire protection systems can be toxic and/or cause damage to equipment. FirePASS Corporation has a patented fire prevention and suppression system that uses hypoxic air ventilation to stop fires before they start and/or extinguish them quickly with minimal damage to equipment. Company and Product Background

Established in 2000 and headquartered in New York, FirePASS Corporation offers two types of technology. First, is a proactive fire prevention technology called the Hypoxic Air Venting System (HAVS). Second, is a fire suppression system that is deployed like most current fire suppression systems, with the exception that the agent used is hypoxic air instead of other chemical agents.
