HP uses Linux internally and in a broad range of offerings. Enterprises looking for support/backup for internal Debian projects will find service offerings, while other clients will find HP tucking Linux into its telecommunication, thin-client, supercomputing, and mobile phone solutions.
HP's Linux Initiatives
If HP revenue could be sorted by operating system, it would form a three slice pie-chart: Windows, HP-UX, and Linux. HP makes most of its money in the Windows and HP-UX spaces. But, it must also focus on the fastest growing OS, Linux, as it grabs for market share.
