Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX) can add bells-and-whistles to Web application and Web page interfaces. It cannot correct usability flaws. Avoid the mistake of using AJAX to fix poorly designed Web sites.

Misusing Usability

Overuse of the word "usability" reveals how poorly most applications developers understand what this word really means. Two ISO standards provide a comprehensive definition of usability.
