Hospital IT managers are being pushed to quickly implement electronic healthcare records (EHR) solutions. This process has been hampered by a variety of factors, but ultimately the main reason is doctor’s reluctance to change. The bottom line is that doctors will not change their habits without IT managers presenting the proposed EHR solution to them directly. To date, the end users have not felt that there has been a solution designed for their needs. This research will help IT managers in these three areas:
- Understand why other EHR adoptions have failed.
- Pinpoint the source of the failure and how to deal with it.
