Web-based student report card software consistently receives rave reviews from teachers, principals, and parents and also sheds a positive light on the IT department. Take advantage of this goodwill by making online reports cards the poster child for value-driven IT spending in the school district.

The Road to Web-based Report Cards

In the past, school districts usually purchased Student Information Systems (SISs) that allowed teachers to enter grades and manage student records electronically. Parents were never privy to this electronic data. Instead, they had to settle with receiving information on their child's performance through paper-based report cards and the occasional parent-teacher meeting.
