Your Challenge
Many organizations have processes that route a package of materials, such as documents, forms, drawings, and images, through a complex series of steps for data collection, analysis, and approval, then requiring archival following process completion. Often, however, e-forms solutions aren’t robust enough to automate these processes and BPM suites are too expensive and complex.
Solutions targeted solely at case management can be best of breed or can be designed to run on generic platforms like SharePoint, making product evaluation and comparison difficult.
New mobile platforms, such as smartphones and tablets, are becoming valuable tools for field collection points resulting in information artifacts or evidence that originates as digital media rather than as analog sources such as paper or physical photographs. Manual case management processes are not optimized for digital evidence.
Our Advice
Hypothesis
Electronic automation of case management processes is a mature and affordable technology market.
Case management products are evolving to facilitate the processing of digital media, as more and more evidence in forensic investigations originates as digital media rather than analog artifacts like paper of printed photographs.
Modern case management systems enable team collaboration regardless of location, fast information retrieval, and electronic archival of closed cases.
