I believe this was more on our side versus Howard but we probably should have ELMO'd a few things. As discussed with Howard, any AI strategy needs to include the IT specific items in order to do successful AI business use cases. Some items that need to be included in the strategy must be data management/governance, and security management/governance activities to deliver AI uses cases.

The workshop format, while intensive, greatly reduced the time it may have taken for our institution to develop a formal plan. Our facilitator, Diana Yazidjian, supported and occasionally challenged ideas during the discussion to ensure they were fully explored and feasible prior to formally adding them to the plan. It was helpful for our group to have an outside, institutionally-neutral perspective. There no negatives during the experience, though for future engagements I would request the session duration and frequency be modified to more sessions of shorter duration spread over a two-week period. This would reduce meeting fatigue, give participants a chance to reflect on discussions, and potentially reduce the need for participants to miss portions of the engagement due to other meeting/work obligations.
