SAP Ariba and RapidRatings Work Together to Streamline Risk Management
RapidRatings and SAP Ariba are working together to provide their customers with a more flexible risk-management solution. Through open APIs, SAP Ariba customers can access their RapidRatings-subscription information without leaving the SAP Ariba environment.
According to Kristen Jordeth, SAP Ariba’s go-to-market director for North America, “All they have to do is turn a subscription code on, key it in, and they're connected. It eliminates the setup, makes it easier on the customer side, and they can take advantage of subscriptions they already have and access them in one view throughout that whole process.”

With this collaborative approach, SAP Ariba customers will benefit from a more streamlined process for identifying and managing vendor risk.
SAP Ariba’s willingness to integrate with third-party solutions is a smart business decision:
- It provides customers with more potential options and allows them to leverage their existing subscriptions with other complementary vendors;
- It allows SAP Ariba to focus on putting a general framework in place without having to provide a complete end-to-end solution;
- It prevents SAP Ariba from having to invest heavily in functionality or in acquisitions to stave off niche competitors; and
- It should keep existing customers happy (i.e. loyal and under contract) while it provides an appealing benefit to lure potential customers into the fold.
