Integration Capabilities Will Drive Restaurant Operators’ Selection of Restaurant Manager’s POS System

Thinking strategically about application integration sets up organizations for success when it comes to their POS vendor selection and implementation. Operators who have a formal strategy when it comes to their application integration increase application integration success by 122%, and those who align integration with business goals see an increase of application integration success by 165% (Info-Tech’s Build an Application Integration Strategy).

When Hospitality Technology conducted its 2019 Restaurant Technology Study, it identified which features were critical drivers of restaurant operators’ POS purchasing. Integration with other systems was identified as the most influential driver at 60%. Likewise, restaurant managers and operators were surveyed about which POS system offered the most satisfactory integration with other systems and Restaurant Manager was identified as the front runner with an 88% satisfactory rating (Food & Beverage POS Systems Data Quadrant Report).

Restaurant Manager’s POS system has marked itself as a strong contender in successfully carrying out integrations with other Food & Beverage systems. Indeed, operators have indicated their approval with this capability going beyond satisfaction, with 58% of restaurant operators being delighted by the system’s integration features.

Integration capabilities are critical for restaurant operators, especially as technology evolves. A successful restaurant needs a POS system capable of communicating with BOH, loyalty, HR, payroll, inventory systems, and marketing. While Restaurant Manager once struggled to provide third-party integrations, this is now one of its more defining features. Moreover, as personalization becomes a critical factor in the guest experience, operators need to ensure they can integrate with, and harness data from, different systems successfully. This is particularly true for the next cohort of spenders (Generation Z) who look for a memorable dining experience that can be offered through personalized and mobile methods.
