What differentiates Veeam Backup & Replication from other similar products?

It is an all-encompassing enterprise backup system that unifies data protection for backups, replicas, storage snapshot, and CDP imitations under a single control panel. Veeam offers backup, restore, and replication services for physical servers, workstations, virtual machines, and cloud-based applications.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Veeam is so simple to operate that even tasks that would seem esoteric or sophisticated can be set up quickly. I have a data backup library set up and use a plugin to connect my Veeam appliances to my actual storage in order to orchestrate backups, site-to-site replication, and other tasks. I completed all of this in a single day, and on the first night, my backups began and operated without a hitch.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The only drawback I can think of is that it lacks a way to reduce the time required for the initial data conversion. It takes a long time if you have a lot of information. The closest I could come was to use a virtual tape collection and unmount the cassettes when finished.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It can do a lot more than merely save data for instance it can build virtual labs where you may conduct research. Every time I needed to restart, it worked flawlessly and did a terrific job. The instant restore option is fantastic.

What differentiates Veeam Backup & Replication from other similar products?

The easiest thing about Veeam to use is how easy it is to set it up and how easy it is to retrieve backups when we've required them in the past. No other company is offering all of these features at these costs. Veeam provides a wide range of solutions to help our business back up real and virtual servers, on-premises and cloud platforms, and other hardware.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It doesn't need many changes once it's set up and operating. It is one of the few items from Microsoft 365 available for data protection. One of the few advantages is that you can gradually back up an entire tenant, several tenants, or a selection of pieces. They made a PowerShell module for me to script the backups rather than using the built-in scheduler.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There is a USB recovery alternative if you need to restore to a different package. If you don't do as told, it's tough to find the place to create the backup USB stick. Version 11 for Backup and Replication made some UI improvements after Version 10's somewhat awkward design.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Veeam Backup & Replication implementation went smoothly; there was only one issue with one of our servers throughout the process, which was dealt with immediately and effectively. Our IT support demonstrated how simple it is to use Veeam to manage backups and replicate data. Workstations and virtual machines with operating systems other than Windows are among the needs and requirements VEEAM can scale to meet.

What differentiates Veeam Backup & Replication from other similar products?

We can manage the M365 application data in both on-premises and off-premises data centers thanks to Veeam. We discovered that we require more backup and restore options for M365 application data than Microsoft was providing. Instead of managing every Active Directory user, which would be far more expensive, Veeam allows you to choose which users you want to maintain.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Almost all of our backup-related requirements are resolved by it. In our business, NAS-Storage systems that store data and backups of network device configurations are the primary areas of attention. Immutable backups, flexible and safe restore techniques, economical and safe backups, and the opportunity to move workloads between various platforms.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The architecture on which Veeam backup and replication is based necessitates reading countless pages, attending webinars, and taking courses, which is obviously expensive. I sometimes need to physically delete those entries in order for the DB to function properly again, particularly when performing workstation backups that change the name of the database.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

We have frequently needed to restore backups, and it has been simple to do so because to the setup process' relative simplicity. While competing products are significantly less effective and much more complicated than Veeam. With Veeam, you can relax knowing that your data is secure.
