What differentiates Notion from other similar products?

One of the standout features for me is how easy it is to build a personal or team wiki in Notion. I’ve used Confluence before, but Notion’s ability to link pages, embed databases, and create a network of interconnected information is so much more intuitive and flexible. It also allows me to easily cross-reference content. For example, if I’m working on a project, I can link notes, tasks, and research to the project page without having to manually copy everything. That level of integration is something I haven’t seen in other tools like Google Docs or OneNote.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite aspect of Notion is definitely its flexibility and customization. I love how I can create a workspace that’s completely tailored to my needs. Whether I’m using it for personal task management, a team project, or building a content calendar, Notion lets me organize everything exactly the way I want it. What do you dislike most about this product?

Performance issues, especially when dealing with larger or more complex databases. While I love how versatile and customizable it is, when I have a lot of content in one workspace, it can get a bit slow or laggy, especially on the mobile app. Syncing across devices can sometimes feel delayed, and working with large pages or heavy databases can make the experience frustrating at times. I also find that offline mode isn’t always as smooth as I’d like it to be. If I’m working on a document or project without internet access, I sometimes run into sync issues or lose progress, which can be really inconvenient.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you're planning to use Notion for more complex workflows with lots of pages or databases, be aware that it can start to slow down as your workspace grows. While it’s not a dealbreaker for everyone, it can be a bit frustrating when working with larger files or teams. If performance is crucial, it might be worth testing it out with your specific needs in mind to make sure it’s a good fit.
