What differentiates Dynatrace from other similar products?
One advantage Dynatrace has over its competitors is the ability to observe the environment of business-critical applications from start to finish. You can track the performance and lifespan of your company's applications, from development to deployment, and even the end-user digital experience with the help of synthetic and transactional monitoring, all thanks to the platform and technology support.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I like the ability to learn how to crawl and discover distributed applications. As soon as the monitored programs start working, you will be able to identify exactly what is causing the problem. Great templates can trigger automatic warnings and preventive actions.
What do you dislike most about this product?
We use agents for all of our monitoring, not just a few. Dynatrace is expensive, especially for small and medium-sized businesses that don't have a lot of money to spend on tracking. Active Directory monitoring is not easy to set up.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Dynatrace's capabilities are amazing. Although it is difficult to know everything due to their extensive capabilities, support staff are not always helpful or knowledgeable enough to perform even the most fundamental functions.
