Cellular networks remain outside the control of IT, and as a result, business unit support needs, and the ability of IT to provide them, need to be carefully considered. IT leaders should ask three questions:

  • What are the mobility support goals and objectives of the enterprise?
  • What are next year's mobility support requirements?
  • Is outsourcing a better solution than internal support services?

The failure to answer these questions can have a sizeable impact on IT support capabilities and business unit satisfaction levels.
