In application procurement or development, requirements management encompasses all of the tasks that go into the feasibility, scoping, and definition of a new system. IT leaders must manage the politics of requirements during the procurement or development process.
It's Politics as Usual
Requirements management is not immune from politics. Politics exist when there are two or more people working together. Politics is the process groups use to make decisions – it's how power and interests play out in an enterprise. Politics is observed in all human group interactions within enterprises of all sizes.
