Create and execute a communication plan to ensure that the right messages are properly communicated.
A communications plan is used to make sure that current information about program progress and benefits is provided in an effective manner to all pertinent internal and external parties. The plan should include:
- What is to be communicated (message content)
- Who is responsible and accountable for delivering the message
- Who the recipients are
- When and how often (frequency) the message is to be delivered
- What medium is to be used to deliver the message
Effective communication is critical for garnering support, acceptance, and participation from stakeholder groups.
