ERP Project Sponsor

The ERP Project Sponsor is a current enterprise employee that owns ERP for the project duration. They are expected to make the ERP project account for at least 50% of their time. They are responsible for creating the business case for the project, assuming accountability for the project completion, and ensuring successful transition from implementation to operation of the ERP system including training and change management. The ERP Project Sponsor is a senior executive from a business unit that is strongly impacted by the ERP project and not IT. They possess an in-depth knowledge of goals and desired objectives of the project.
