Sage recently held its annual Sage Summit customer conference. Sage owns a large portfolio of application software, especially ERP and CRM, targeted primarily at small and medium businesses (SMB) and divisions of larger enterprises. Enhancements to the new Sage SalesLogix v7.5, ACT! by Sage 2009 and the upcoming Sage CRM v6.2 were unveiled to customers. CRM product roadmaps were updated and platform enhancements were unveiled as well.

Sage SalesLogix Gets Fully Web-Mobile

Sage SalesLogix v7.5 was released in the months leading up to the conference. This version upgrade includes:

  • A fully-functional Web client that operates locally in a disconnected mode. This is an essential upgrade, finally removing the last major functional barrier preventing legacy client-server users to migrate to the new multi-tier architecture that was released two years ago. With this release, Info-Tech expects that the older client-server architecture will no longer maintain functional parity with the newer multi-tier architecture.
  • A new AJAX user interface, enabling a much richer end user experience.
  • A process orchestration engine to enable shared workflows across the product.
