One of the worst things that could happen is confidential client information being leaked. And even if privacy isn't a concern, the files that professional service firms deal with aren't typical – they're huge! Plus the mere thought of the e-mail server supporting the transfer of such a vast amount of data is overwhelming; it's no wonder file size limits are imposed.
