A post implementation review (PIR) is a formal review of a project once the project has been completed and delivered to the customer. The PIR answers the key question around whether or not the project was a success and achieved what it was originally designed to do.
The PIR is a means of collecting, analyzing and communicating project information. It is an important part of the project lifecycle and an important element for closing of the project feedback and communication loop.
