Playing with your iPhone, BlackBerry, laptop, or other mobile device during a meeting is rude. And it's not just a bunch of over the hill fuddy duddies who think so. While using mobile devices during meetings is more acceptable among younger generations, the majority still see this behavior as distracting and impolite.
Whatever Happened to Courtesy?
It's no surprise that mobile technologies are both pervasive and invasive in modern lives, having rapidly moved from a luxury to a lifestyle to a necessity in less than a decade. Watch any Generation Y or Millennial in a work environment for ample proof that things have changed for good.
