Take an inventory of IT services throughout the organization and provide the following information for each IT service:

  1. Functional Area
  2. IT Service/Function Type
  3. Specific Name of IT Service/Function
  4. Business Process Supported
  5. Current Breadth of Use
  6. Specific Location Used
  7. Number of Users
  8. Supported By
  9. Number of Support Staff
  10. Name of Primary IT Contact
  11. Name of Primary Business Contact

Use this IT Service Catalog Inventory Tool by:

  1. Delete the pre-populated text and replace it with your organization's information.
  2. Fill out the IT Service Catalog Inventory tab.
  3. After filling out the template: map the IT services/functions to business processes and IT support staff. Look for redundancies, gaps, and opportunities to improve services.
