A change to the technological strategy and software development tools can be more disconcerting to IT workers than other significant changes to the corporate strategy. Reduce resistance and avoid painful project setbacks by building solid support and training plans.
Why Change Occurs
All people, not just IT workers, will accept change more easily if they understand why it is happening and have some sense that the decision makers had a rationale for making the decision. There are two reasons why changes to the technological underpinnings of the IT department should be made:
- The business benefit is clearly evident and identifiable.
- The company is at significant odds with the status quo.
