An RFP Implies Stable Requirements and Full Commitment

Many enterprises, especially those in the public sector, select IT suppliers on the basis of a formal RFP process. RFPs are used for procurement of hardware, software, and professional services. The process is typically supervised by a procurement department that is organizationally independent of the IT organization.
