According to the 2008 "HSBC Commercial Banking" report, 81% of businesses say culture and etiquette make global trade difficult. Further, nearly three quarters (74%) of businesses that are considering overseas trading do not feel prepared to fully leverage the opportunity.
The Need to Brush Up
Considering these findings, it is not surprising that a recent survey conducted by the staffing firm OfficeTeam, found that nearly half of the surveyed business professionals said they would benefit from an international business etiquette course.
