Use the Audit Scoping Email Template to create an email directed at your external (or internal) auditors. Send the audit scoping email several weeks before an audit to determine the audit’s scope and objectives. The email will help focus your preparation efforts and will begin formulating your relationship with the auditors. The email should include:

  • Detailed questions about audit scope and objectives
  • Critical background information on your organization/program
  • Some words of welcome
Be sure to be enthusiastic about the audit - it will set the tone for initial team interactions.
