Principal Research Director

  • David brings extensive experience from the Financial Services sector having worked 25 years in the industry. Most recently he was a Corporate Finance and Strategy Advisor for Infiniti Labs (Toronto / Hong Kong), Automotive, and Smart City Accelerator, where he provided financial and mergers and acquisition advisory services to accelerator participants with a focus on early-stage fund raising. He completed an honors bachelor of arts in history from the University Of Western Ontario, an MBA from the Rotman school of Management at the University Of Toronto where he was a Bregman Scholar, a Masters Of Law in Corporate and Securities Law From Osgoode Hall Law and is a licensed portfolio manager and has extensive financial licensing.

  • David was a Managing Director of investment banking at Cantor Fitzgerald and was responsible for establishing the Diversified Industries group and later assumed responsibility for the Technology group. Prior to these roles, David worked for 7 years at Sprott Asset Management as a Portfolio Manager where he responsible for $1 billion of hedge and equity fund investments. Previously, he worked at Clarus Securities where he was Brendan Woods top ranked special situations equity analyst. He also spent many years working at both the Royal Bank and Royal Bank Capital Markets in various roles.
