Cisco's Motion architecture, announced in May, 2008 (with individual components being delivered over the next several months) reveals a comprehensive enterprise mobility strategy from the networking and communications vendor. The vendor is aiming to centralize the management and delivery of all mobility applications in an enterprise and, with an open platform approach, leverage technology partners to address key gaps in its portfolio. IT leaders managing Cisco Wireless LAN (WLAN) environments should understand this strategy and determine whether it will address their mobility needs.
