Stress testing of contingency plans is an approach that can be used to gain confidence in your disaster recovery plans (DRP) and help meet enterprise needs even during incidents that are unplanned for. There are many scenarios that organizations must consider, these include:

  • Natural disasters
  • Man-made disasters
  • Technology failures
  • Security incidents

This research note will review the process of stress testing (i.e. scenario testing) to ensure the enterprise is positioned to fully understand disaster preparedness, and whether it can withstand an outage.
