Drivers for Staff Downsizing
- An IT department of approximately 60 employees is being forced to downsize in multiple stages. Two stages are already completed, and a third is planned.
- The first stage was a result of the economic downturn and was completed within a month of the economy taking its major turn for the worse.
- The second stage and the planned third stage resulted from the organization’s decision to outsource several IT functions, although the economy’s poor state was an influencer on the decision to cut.
