Your Challenge
- Traditional web content filters have fallen by the wayside to make room for products that actively scan website code, and prevent malware from getting to the corporate network.
- Picking the right web content filter must take the number of geographic locations, amount of bandwidth available, number of users, pricing model, reporting requirements and features needed into account.
- There are newer vendors breaking the mold, making old standbys like Websense and Cisco not always the obvious choice.

Why is M86 only mentioned in slide 24 but nowhere else in the "Storyboard" Powerpoint?
Thanks for your comment. M86 Security wasn't reviewed for several reasons: (1) They are in a state of transition as a result of the merger between Marshal and 8e6 Security, and the subsequent purchase of Avinti. (2) According to a recent survey conducted by Info-Tech Research Group, only one person out of 52 indicated they were using a product from 8e6 Security. (3) M86 Security declined to brief Info-Tech on their WCF products. Sacrifices had to be made, and other vendors like Cymphonix and ContentWatch were also not reviewed for various reasons. We feel that the vendors we did review either offer the best value for our clients, or had to be covered due to market presence.
