Once a month, the project manager must meet with the project sponsor and other project stakeholders to discuss progress to date, any issues that have arisen and require action from the sponsor or stakeholders, and to provide an update on high-level timelines. It is important that the steering committee is engaged as the project progresses.

Consider inviting key members of the project team to attend these meetings if they have expertise in the areas that are to be discussed.
