The goals of the on-call policy are to create a policy that is sensitive to the constraints that on-call status places on the personal freedom of affected employees and secondly to create a policy that efficiently supports the business needs for the company.

Risks Addressed by Policy:

  • On-call workers will be unprepared which can slow down business operations.
  • On-call policies can and will be confused among employees.
