A “Litigation Hold” occurs after a lawsuit has been filed against the organization or if one is highly likely. A hold may also be applied to conduct an internal investigation, fulfill the requirements of a freedom of information request, or to meet the needs of a regulatory inquiry.

  • The notice will be conveyed to you verbally, by letter, or by email.

You must meet the obligations of the litigation hold. Both the enterprise and individuals might be exposed to sanctions or liability if the requirements of the hold are not met. Use this template to set up a individual's process for dealing with a litigation hold.
