PC Today: How to Get your App to Market

(October Issue) You could create an internal application that improves communication between your employees and customers or you could create a more in-depth application that helps you monitor your company’s network or data. If there is an unmet need in your company or even in your industry as a whole, it only makes sense to make your own application to solve the issue.

Hovever, you may find throughout the development process that this app could be useful for people outside of your company or customer base. You may want to retool the app for use with multiple devices, including smartphones, tablets, and laptops. And you may want to offer this product to the public and possibly make additional revenue
from the ensuing sales.

The truth is that the development process for an internally used solution is a bit different from developing an app for public use. You have to consider your target audience, make sure your application is needed and will actually sell, and then sufficiently test the app for eventual distribution. It can be a lot to take in at irst, but we’ll walk you through the process and show you how to successfully bring your app to market.
