2012 promises to be a turbulent year for IT leaders. Users are increasingly active in establishing how they wish to use new technology, with tablets and social media top of mind. There can be significant benefits when organizations move to leverage these new paradigms. However, user demands often push beyond the comfort level of IT. The challenge for IT is to lead these changes, rather than wait for user pressure, or worse, push back on these opportunities.
