Making the Case for ROI
Very few IT departments use Return on Investment (ROI) calculations to justify spending decisions, with the majority having no ROI system in place and no plans to develop one. This is surprising given the importance of aligning IT decisions with business objectives. This stands in direct contrast to Fortune 1000 companies, where performing an ROI calculation is a prerequisite for IT spending.
