Step 1: Assess current EA capability. Use Info-Tech EA Capability Assessment and Planning Tool (tab: 2. Questionnaire, column G) to evaluate 64 key components of EA operating model.
Step 2: Assess the organization’s risk and complexity. Use EA capability – Risk and Complexity Assessment tool to determine the organization’s complexity level.
Step 3: Plan target EA capability. Use EA Capability Assessment and Planning Tool (tab: 2. Questionnaire, column E).
Step 4: Evaluate and assign priority and effort to each identified EA capability gap in the (EA Capability Assessment and Planning Tool, tab: 2. Questionnaire, columns K and L).
Step 5: View the gap summary in the EA Capability Assessment and Planning Tool, tab 3.
Step 6: Refer to EA Capability Assessment and Planning Tool, tab 4 to view the list of gaps prioritized based on selected priority and effort.
