About Me

Ryan Smith is an Associate Research Director in Info-Tech’s Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Practice. He specializes in the development of ECM strategies, vendor selection and implementation frameworks, and governance programs to support the ECM capability.

At Info-Tech, Ryan provides IT and business leaders with guidance, analysis, and tools required to optimize their ECM operations and unlock the true power of content as a business enabler. His client work includes developing strategic visions and roadmaps, requirements gathering and vendor evaluation, and the establishment of governance bodies including ECM centers of excellence. He is the author of Info-Tech’s ECM Strategy Development Framework which outlines the six sub-disciplines of ECM and serves as the foundational methodology of Info-Tech’s ECM Practice.

Before joining the ECM Practice, Ryan worked with Info-Tech’s Consulting Services team focusing on delivering IT and business technology strategy engagements for clients in the private, public, and social sectors. Previous to this, he worked as an analyst providing research-backed marketing content and strategic sales and marketing advisory services to key stakeholders in IT vendor-partner ecosystems.

Ryan Smith has a Bachelors in Business Management and is an honours graduate from Ryerson University. He also holds an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration – Marketing from Sir Sandford Fleming College.
