Product Comparison and Evaluation Research Program

The Product Comparison and the Product Evaluation notes are part of the ITA Premium service. They provide detailed information on specific products and their vendors, allowing the customer to create a short-list of vendors for detailed analysis. The Select notes help customers implement good practices for final selection, negotiation and contract agreement with the vendors that they choose to evaluate in detail.

Upcoming Product Comparison and Evaluation Notes include:

Enterprise Linux Server Operating Systems
Security Information Management

Decision Diamond Awards 2006/07

Vendors identified as key players in the various IT categories examined in the Product Comparison & Evaluation Research Program are ranked using the Decision Diamond tool which places them in positions of Leader, Competitor, or Follower. Being a Leader in the Decision Diamond indicates that a particular company has been rated in the top category for Product and Vendor assessment.

Decision Diamond Leaders and Competitors will be publicized on the Web site as studies are completed. The basis and methodology for the selection process is defined in "The Compare and Evaluate Process" section of the Vendor Center.
